What to do..Why?

Sitting up late at night, watching and waiting, I crack open a book. I make certain that it’s a book that I have listed as being read on Goodreads. You see, I’m addicted.

There are also times where those same books lay helpless, unread, as I busy myself with other things or nothing at all. I keep all those stories, series, characters, concepts, conversations, speculations in my head. They come together, at some random point when I pick up one of those books and start reading again.

I fall victim to hardcover books that ate elegant, beautiful. I signed up for FairyLoot for that reason. But, give  me an old leather bound edition of Arabian Nights ( I had that as a kid)

You actually use Amazon for books, have Audible, Kindle Unlimited,a library card and a personal library of a growing number of books that rivals that of the speed in which weeds grow. THAT is a book addict. A story seeker.

It’s incredibly easy to stay within a genre or age group. I’ve got quite a lot of YA Fantasy. However, I do like Stephen King, Chuck Wendig, John Scalzi etc. step out of your comfort zone and try something different.

Sometimes it’s good ( Story Sisters by Alice Hoffman)

Sometimes, weell…(Bunny by Mona Awad)

This is one of those nights I know I should be sleeping. But, I want to read…
